Bayer CropScience  is one of the most prominent and innovative companies in Belgium in the field of crop protection for agriculture and horticulture, for research in plant biotechnology and the development of hybrid seeds.
 
Bayer CropScience has three divisions:
 
BioScience : plays a leading role internationally in the field of  research, development  and commercialisation of seeds with improved or added qualities. BioScience provides sustainable, plant-based solutions for the agricultural, health, food and industrial sectors, mainly through the application of modern plant breeding and plant biotechnological innovations. The innovation and product development is focused on vegetable seeds and a number of agricultural crops such as oilseed rape, cotton and rice.
 
Crop Protection : develops innovative and sustainable solutions for agriculturalists and horticulturalists, for the protection of crops against weeds, fungi and pests, as well as for the prophylactic treatment of seeds.
 
Environmental Science : groups all non-agrarian applications under the name Bayer Garden, which includes products for lawn maintenance, pest and weed control in the home and living environment, products for controlling wasps, ants, cockroaches, mice, and products for the maintenance of gardens, public parks and golf courses.
