Bayer - Antwerp site

The production unit of Bayer Antwerp NV was established in 1961 and is located in the northern Antwerp Port area. This unit manufactures high-performance plastics and precursors for the production of plastics for the subgroup Bayer MaterialScience (BMS) .
 
The products of Bayer Antwerp are used in all aspects of daily life. The top product is polycarbonate (Makrolon®), from which CDs, DVDs, roofing for railways stations and conservatories, automotive and computer parts, motorcycle helmets and ski glasses, etc. are manufactured. Bayer Antwerp NV employed about 850 people in 2008, primarily in production, quality and technical positions
 
For the Benelux region, Bayer Technology Services  operates from the Bayer site in Antwerp with an experienced and expert team consisting of engineers for Process Technology, Process Analysis Technology, Engineering and CSA (Civil, Structure and Architecture).
