Interview

 

Once we have received all the applications, three to five candidates will be invited for a preliminary interview. These candidates will be contacted by telephone or e-mail.

 

The interview is usually organised together with the Department Manager. As a result, you get to know the Company as well as the activities of the department. Also, the position you are applying for and the career perspectives are explained to you in detail.

 

If, after the interview, you emerge as the most suitable candidate, you may be invited to take part in an assessment or some tests.

 

Assessment / Testing

 

With the help of an assessment, we want to learn more about your personal approach and the factors which motivate you for the job.

 

If you are applying for a technical position or for a position in Research & Development , then a position-related assessment gives you the opportunity to convincingly present your knowledge and skills.

 

If you are applying for a commercial position , then you will get the opportunity to demonstrate your powers of persuasion and negotiation skills during a personal interview which may include a role play. In addition, it is important for us to know whether we can smoothly integrate your personality within our organisation, and whether you like to work independently or in a team.

 

During an interview, we also offer you the opportunity to obtain information about the position for which you are applying. So please do not hesitate to ask us questions.

 

An appointment will be made for the assessment by a staff member from the Bayer Direct Services team. It is best that you plan a full day for this. The assessment may take place in our offices or in an Assessment Centre.

 

Final decision

 

The final selection of a candidate is decided with due regard for the conditions of the non-discrimination principle and after comparison of the personal and professional characteristics with the requirements of each specific function.

 

If you are our final candidate, then all that remains is to conclude an agreement regarding the salary and the starting date of your partnership with Bayer.
